الملخص
This research aims at identifying the effect of using linguistic games on developing certain creative thinking skills (namely , fluency and flexibility) by fifth primary school pupils . The sample consisted of (24) pupils . The researcher made (10) linguistic games characterized by linguistic activity . A test of (10) items has been made , five of which measure fluency and the other five measure flexibility . Visual validity was verified by showing them to a panel of experts , the researcher also found out the reliability by using re-test reaching (0.86) . Pre-test was applied on the sample , the researcher presented linguistic games to the class for (6) weeks, after that he used post-test and the (t-test) as a statistical means to process the data.
The results showed:
1. A statistically significant difference is found between the means of the sample in pre-and post-test in fluency items with a bias towards the pupils responses in post test.
2. A statistically significant difference is found between the means of the sample in pre-and post test of flex ability items with a bias in responses of post-test.
