Abstract

 This research examines The Role of Saudi Arabia within the framework of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) from 1981 to 1991 regarding the Palestinian issue and its efforts to support the Palestinian people, During this period, Saudi Arabia considered the Palestinian cause as one of its top foreign policy priorities. The Kingdom provided continuous political and financial support to the Palestinian people and their legitimate rights, Saudi efforts included political initiatives to promote Palestinian rights and support for the Palestinian cause on the international stage. Within the framework of the Gulf Cooperation Council, Saudi Arabia played a significant role in enhancing support for the Palestinian cause, The Kingdom offered political advice and guidance to GCC member states to unify efforts and enhance Arab collective action towards a peaceful resolution of the Palestinian-Israeli conflict. Saudi Arabia's stance in supporting the Palestinian people was also evident in financial aid. The Kingdom provided generous contributions to the Palestinian National Authority. Overall, it can be concluded that Saudi Arabia played an active and important role within the Gulf Cooperation Council in supporting the Palestinian cause from 1981 to 1991. It provided political, financial, and humanitarian support while striving to promote Arab unity and diplomatic efforts to achieve a peaceful resolution of the Palestinian-Israeli conflict and the realization of the Palestinian people's rights to establish their state.
