Abstract

The current research aims to: - Construction of speed-distinguished strength tests for the arms in the free-swimming activity for advanced swimmers in the central and northern regions of Iraq - Setting standards and levels for strength tests characterized by speed for the arms in free swimming designed in the research The research community included advanced swimmers in free swimming in some clubs in the governorates of Baghdad, Sulaymaniyah, Kirkuk, Erbil and Mosul (the central and northern regions) in Iraq As for the research sample, they were chosen in a deliberate way to achieve the objectives of the research. They numbered (96) swimmers. They represented the two construction samples for tests and standards, as the proportion of the research sample was (61.14%) of the total research community - A number of physical-skill tests in the water were reached for advanced swimmers in the central and northern regions of Iraq, which have good scientific foundations of honesty, stability, objectivity and an appropriate natural distribution, and the number is (2) tests, and these tests are - Testing the speed-characterized force of the arms strikes from stability in the water - Testing the speed-characterized force of the blows of the arms from the movement in the water - Scores tables and standard levels of physical and skill tests in free swimming in the water for advanced swimmers have been reached Most of the swimmers in the central and northern regions were at an acceptable, average and good standard in all physical-skill tests designed in the research
