Abstract
The current research aims to design a proposed educational program based on information processing theory and identify its effectiveness in teaching measurement and evaluation for students of the department of Quranic sciences according to the International Standards for Educational Technology (ISTE). The sample consisted of (75) male and female students from the fourth morning stage at the department of Quranic Sciences and Islamic education, College of Education for Human Sciences, University of Mosul, for the academic year (2022-2023). They were divided by a random stratification method into four equal groups based on a number of variables. The first and two experimental ,they consisted of (38) male and female students who studied according to the proposed educational program, and the third and fourth, consisted of (37) male and female students who studied the same subject according to conventional method. To achieve the first research goal, the researcher designed an educational program based on information processing theory and the International Standards for Educational Technology (ISTE). The second goal: the researcher prepared a cognitive test for the measurement and evaluation subject, consisting of three objective and essay questions, ensuring its validity, reliability, and psychometric properties. Then the researcher carried out the experiment herself at the beginning of the first semester, for the period from ( 23/10/2022 ) to ( 19/12/2023 ). At the end of the experiment, the research tool was applied to members of the basic sample in person, and then the data was collected and processed statistically using the two-way (F) test of variance .
