Abstract

The purpose of this study is to demonstrate the vision of the three celestial religions on the subject of drug prevention and reducing its spread, while studying the relationship between religiosity and drug use among young people by focusing on the three aspects of religiosity: (practice, belief, and belonging). The study concluded that the protective effect of religiosity is evident in the health of the individual and the way he relates to his environment, affects all aspects of his life, especially the social sphere (work, family, relationships, education, etc.). The researchers aim that one's religion helps one cope with one's struggles in life and gives context or meaning to one's suffering. Moreover, the more religious an individual is, the more self-control he has, self-esteem, a healthier lifestyle becomes, and his tendency to avoid risky behaviors increases. Religiosity tends to have a positive impact on positive social values and promotes helping individuals cope with stressors, including drug use, which gives strong evidence that religiosity can have a protective effect on many important areas of individuals ' lives.
