Abstract
The study aimed at evaluating Islamic Education teachers' mastery of tajweed rules they teach in the preparatory schools .
The sample consists of 60 male and female teachers of Islamic education , 30 males and 30 females teachers chosen randomly from the population .
The researcher prepared two instruments for this study . The first one was a written test of 25 multiple choice items . The second was a performance test. The validity and reliability of the two tests have been fulfilled , in addition to some information about giving marks .
After analyzing data by using the suitable statistical means , the findings were :
Performance level of Islamic education teachers in each theoretical and performance knowledge was less than 80% .
There was a significant statistical difference at 0.05 level of significance , between male and female teacher in the performance test for the benefit of teachers .
In the light of those two findings , the researcher sets mail number of recommendations and suggestion .
