Value forms the axis of human experience that differentiates man from other creatures by his possession of intellectual elements that make him commit to these values which conflict with other values forming a continuous argumentation between the positive value and the other oppositions. This occurs clearly in Bediuzzaman Hamadhaani’s Makamat through which the value and the methods of its demolition form an intellectual content that leads events to harmony, cohesion and communication to a technical structure that enjoys and surprises the hearer / reader with while he pursues these artistic images drawn by Al-Hamadhani’s makamat while they narrate their stories between an ethical crisis that increases its climax level to the problem, the matter that requires a narrator’s interference to solve this problem artistically and not away from innovation and creativity in a work built from poetry, prose with humor touch, wisdom , ridicule and seriousness. The study is an attempt to point out these values included in Al- Hamadhaani’s Makamat to recognize the way of their style throughout an argumentation of conflict that creates continuous movement of narration accompanied by linguistic and semantic association in addition to the critical taste enjoyed by the makamat’s author and valuating provisions present and criticize the old poetry by adopting the modernists’ poetry.

It is quite obvious that the period of crusades had negative effects on the minerals in Bilad Al-Sham. However, this does not mean that these minerals were considerably neglected or not employed in the economic fields; but some people would rather view it as a historic economic event between the Islamic East and the European West, especially when we know that these countries have different kinds of minerals–conventional or precious. The former included iron, copper and lead, while the latter included gold and silver. The minerals were used in various industrial, civil and military fields. The Shami craftsmen were creative in the production of various artifacts which became well known in different parts of the world known at that time and influenced the European West considerably. Museums around the world still have some of these priceless artifacts. Minerals trade also witnessed a remarkable circulation between the European West and Islamic East. This undoubtedly was due to the huge demand on different kinds of minerals to meet both the needs of war against the crusaders and the local industries. The Ayoobi princes and sultans as well as the Mamlukes exerted great efforts that contributed to the development of mineral-based industries through encouraging many craftsmen, particularly those from Mosul city known by the art of Takfeet , to emigrate to Bilad Al-Sham.

The impact of graded aerobic effort on some breathing variables and blood Components of first year students in Physical Education Department

College Of Basic Education Research Journal, 2013, Volume 12, Issue 4, Pages 817-836

The Effect of various effort Kinds made by man on his functional devices is not a secret any more. This comes from the precious efforts made by many scientists for many decades. Whenever modern technologies measuring various physiological appear, researchers use them to recap other phenomena and discover new physiological phenomena in the human body. Exercise lead to make changes in blood ingrediants and the respiratory device as it is the case with any other body organ and the changes are of two kinds: (temporal i.e. changes that occur temporarily as a response to physioloyical effort and turn back in rest) and relatively continuous ( the changes that happen in these variables due to regularity in practice for a certain time which lead to adaptation of blood for doing exercise).

The research aims at:
- Reveal the effect of Graded aerobic effort on some lung ventilation variables (number of breathing times, means of normal breathing, ventilation).
- Reveal the effect of Graded aerobic effort on some blood variables (red and white blood cells, hemoglobine).
The researcher hypothesized the existence of statistically significant differences in blood ingredients (red and white blood cells, hemoglobine), and ventilation variables (number of breathing times, volume of breather air, ventilation), before and after doing maximum physiological and aerial effort .
The researcher used the descriptive method due to its appropriateness. The sample consisted of (11) students aging (18-21 years) representing first year of Physical Education Department- College of Basic Education/ University of Mosul, and the researchers used testing and measuring as tools to collect data.
The researcher used the following statistical means:
(ratio, mathematical means, standard deviation, variance factor , t-test for two related groups).
After treating data statistically, the researcher concluded:
• Graded aerobic effort had (tangible increase) tangible effect on lung ventilation variables.
• Graded aerobic effort had tangible effect (tangible increase) in some blood ingredient variables Compared to rest time and in faver of post test.
The researcher recommended:
• The necessity of doing lab tests of candidates of the department of Physical Education to by used in the process of selection.
• Open a record for every student to keep his physiological, functional and chemical measurements to evaluate the health condition and his progress in every academic stage.
• Make a similar study with the same variables but on female students.

College Of Basic Education Research Journal, 2013, Volume 12, Issue 4, Pages 969-980

The Random amplified polymorphic DNA (RAPD) markers are used to determine the genetic diversity among eight varieties of tetraploid wheat’s (Um-rabia 3, Leeds, Azeghar 1, Acsad65, Buhoth 7, Doma 1, Korfela, Um-rabia 5). The total number of the amplified bands (141 bands) are obtained, 101 of which were polymorphic, the DNA fragment size are ranged between 150 - 1650 bp, the polymorphism of RAPD markers are high (70.18%) and adequate to discriminate each variety.
The similarity matrix among wheat varieties for different similarity matrices coefficients (Nei&Li , Jaccard's, and Simple Matching (SM)) are found, the similarity value ranged between 36%-83% . The comparison among similarity coefficients using Mantel test shows that the correlation between Nei & Li and Jaccard similarity matrices was highly significant 0.99. Also, the dendrogram that constructed among wheat varieties using (UPGMA) analysis gives the lowest genetic distance between Azeghar 1 and Doma 1 varieties and the highest between Leeds and Acsad65 for both Nei & Li and Jaccard analysis , while for SM analysis the highest genetic distance was found between Um-rabia 3 and Azeghar 1 and the lowest distance was between Azeghar 1 and Doma1.
The result obtained from the current study reveals that the analysis of RAPD markers using Nei&Li and Jaccard similarity matrices are more informative than SM similarity coefficients to determined the genetic relationships among varieties and confirmed the potential of using RAPD markers to estimate the genetic diversity among wheat’s varieties.

Near-synonymy in the Glorious Quran and its realization in English

Alaa Ssalahuddeen

College Of Basic Education Research Journal, 2013, Volume 12, Issue 4, Pages 981-1010

The choice of vocabulary which is part of the concept of synonymy is one of the significant linguistic issues which must be well understood. It is a subject that has always been controversial to pioneering and modern scholars for its significance in understanding the Qur’ānic vocabulary.
The present research studies lexical choice as an important phenomenon in the Glorious Qur’ān. It deals with near-synonymous words in the Glorious Qur’ān; their usage and the related meanings and tries to unveil the subtle differences in their meanings which might mislead some scholars and translators to think that they are synonymous.
This study aims at highlighting this phenomenon in the Glorious Qur’ān, by choosing (7) pairs of near-synonymous terms selected from different verses in five published translations of the Glorious Qur’ān which are assessed in terms of whether the translators have succeeded in choosing the appropriate term conveying the exact interpretive meaning of those terms in source language.
Among the conclusions of this study are:
1. Choosing the most appropriate terms among near-synonymous words in the target language depends largely on knowing the nuances of these terms i.e. attention should be paid to the semantic differences of these terms in the source language.
2. Some translators do not properly render the near-synonymous terms in a way that shows the nuances in the interpretative meaning between them or at least highlight the reasons behind their nuances.
3. The semantic analysis of near-synonyms in the Glorious Qur’ān and lexical choice is mostly influenced by context

ترجَمةُ ”عسى“ في القُرآنِ الكَريمِ الى الإنكِليزيَّة

Yasir Younis Abdulwahid; Osama Hameed Ibraheem

College Of Basic Education Research Journal, 2013, Volume 12, Issue 4, Pages 1011-1034

This research investigates the translation of “عسى” in the Glorious Qur'ān into English. It attempts to show the way translators have rendered it, and then, based on the accredited Qur'ānic interpretations, correcting the translations of the ayas concerned. The research hypothesizes that treating single “عسى” the same way as the collocated “عسى” leads to erroneous translation. From analyzing five translations of “عسى” in the Glorious Qur'ān, it has been found that the translators produced inaccurate translations as far as collocated “عسى” is concerned. In order to achieve better understanding on the part of the TL reader, revising these translations is recommended.

A Conversational Analysis of Expressing Love Topics in Some Mobile Phone Calls Among Mosuli Speakers

Nashwan Mustafa Al-Sa; ati

College Of Basic Education Research Journal, 2013, Volume 12, Issue 4, Pages 1035-1058

This study aims at analyzing some mobile telephone conversations among Mosuli dated couples. It tries to show the linguistic interactional strategies used in expressing love topics, i.e. how couples start, maintain and terminate their calls, the features that signal the conversation as love talk, and the sex differences involved in such type of conversation.
The study hypothesizes that couples' telephone conversation involves using the methods of normal telephone conversation management with some modification. In addition, a standard formula is adopted in starting and ending the conversation. Besides, the topics raised by lovers are of a special kind. Finally, males have the highest proportion than females in revealing love topics, using direct elicitation and directive.
The study has come up with certain findings that confirm the hypotheses raised. However, almost in contrast to the last raised hypothesis, it has been found that females appear to have the highest proportion in revealing topics, raising direct questions, and adopting directive exchanges.
