Development of Educational Policy in Iraq (1958-1968)

AbstractThe research studies the nature of education (primary and higher) in Iraq for the period (1958-1968), it is an attempt to shed light on the education reality and it's development through the adopted governmental policies at that time, referring to the expansion occurred in schools building in villages and countryside, besides the foundation of many colleges and universities in different governorates of Iraq.
The research referred as well to the government's attempts to limit the illiteracy phenomenon which was widely spread in Iraq and clarify the increasing of the student's numbers as a result of the education spreading, and how the government managed to attract them to the institutes and the colleges.
