Student’s Tendencies for the use of psychological and Educational Guidance in Salah Eddin University (through the application of a pilot program)

AbstractThe current research. I is about the importance of the psychological and educational guidance in addressing the educational, professional, and familial problems for university students by relying on references and relevant literature .Through the two goals of the research, the researcher tries to know students, desire to use those services at the university, as well as to know the differences between male and female tendencies towards those services and then to determine the terms reladed with the topic.
Then, we have two axis, the first one includes a historical overview of the emergence of the psychological and educational guidance and its development as well as the theoretical framework of the theories used in guidance and psychotherapy, viz. (theories of psychological and behavioral analysis and the theory of the self, features, and factors).
The second axis of this research includes (11) Arabic and foreign studies which are dicussed and compared with the cument . research. The research procedures include the construction of a guidance program about the subject and the preparation of a guestionnaire for this purpose after extracting the validity and stability through the presentation of this questionnaire to a group of experts in education , psychology, and educational and psychological guidance in the universities
of Salah Eddin, Mosul, and Baghdad. It is, then, applied to a sample of(300) students distributed on the nine departments of the aforment iond colleges to identifying their views on the use of services at the university.
Chapter 4 of the research includes the results and their interpretation according to the literature and references relevant. The results were analyzed statistically. The results show that university students wish to use the educational and psychological guidance at the university because these services have a positive impact on students personal, educational and professional life. The results also indicate that the educational and psychological services are more effective for female students than for male students . The researcher concludes his research by a number of recommendations and necessary suggestions with a list of references relevant to the topic.
