Abstract

The current research aims at investigating the Behavioural Appearances (BA( of children with autism according to their parents point of view . Moreover , it tries to determine the statistically significant differences (BA)(mean degress( of in children with autism according to their fathers and mothers points of view. The sample of the research has been chosen randomly which was (46) fathers and mothers of Autistic children from AL –Ghasaq and Sara Institutes in the center of Mosul .
In order to achieve the aims of the research , a questionnaire was prepared by the researcher which is composed of ( 32) items of (BA( . Face validity of the tool was achieved by exposing it to a group of specialists , while its reliability was calculated by using Guttman equation which was found to be (0,70) . weight mean was used for item arrangement , T-test was used for exploring the differences in Arithmetic means between fathers and mothers groups . The results revealed that :
1- There are many (BA( of children with autism from their parents point of view.
2- No statistically significant differences in the mean scores of (BA( of children with autism between their fathers and mothers point of view.
In view of the findings obtained , it is recommended that developing oral communication skills is a must for children with autism because language lets them connect and communicate with the outer community . Moreover , language breaks their isolation , through talking to them ever if they give no response or participate in playing . In addition , the researcher suggested other similar studies for children with autism in Iraq from their parents point of view.
