Abstract

This study focused on the analysis of the hydrological factors and processes that led to the formation of the canals, and the identification of its hydrological characteristics represented by drainage and sedimentary production on the other hand. The problem of the study emerged in the difficulty of identifying the volume of water discharges and the volume of sediments, and what is the effect of the course of geomorphological processes that exercise their activities in the basin and the environmental effects resulting from them, which can be used in the reconstruction of the ecosystem of the basin. Modern cartographic methods are concerned with how to take advantage of the methods of automatic modeling of the contents of the maps in order to extrapolate and analyze the variables that occur on the landmarks of geographical regions by identifying the spatial factors that resulted in the occurrence of change and a spatial analysis of the composition of the cartographic elements accompanying this change.
