Abstract

The research aims to study the commercial structure of Wadi Hajar Street within the right coast of the city of Mosul, in addition to studying the local features in order to highlight the origin and emergence of it, identify and analyze the types of commercial functional units and indicate its geographical characteristics ,  The increase in the population size in any region is not accompanied by a change in the number of the city's population only, but is accompanied by a change in the composition, including the commercial installation, and from here the need to establish secondary commercial service centers, which became more popular after the year 2017 as a result of the damages suffered by the local market In the city of Mosul, which was considered the main market for the rest of the markets and commercial tapes , Through the study, we concluded that the number of shops in Wadi Hajar Street amounted to 197 commercial stores. The foodstuff trade is dominated by the tape with the number of stores reaching (76), with a percentage of 38.57% of the total stores, followed by the importance of craft shops with (52) Shop with  a rate of 26.36% .
