Spatial variation of population growth in Nineveh Governorate for the period 2001_2021 AD

Abstract
The research aims to highlight the image of spatial disparity in the growth of the population of Nineveh Governorate, its trends and rates, the distribution of the population according to districts, their relative density, patterns, and the percentage of their concentration ,Development in various areas of economic, urban and even health life, so population growth has become one of the phenomena emphasized by population geographers. 2001_ 2011 amounting to (2.7%) and decreased in the period 2011-2021 to (2.1%), and the research revealed a clear discrepancy in growth rates between districts, as the Mosul district contained the largest population gathering in the governorate for the duration of the study at a rate of (47.5) %), (52.1%) and (52.4%) of the total population of the governorate, with a population density of (265.9) people / km2, and (369.8) people / km2, and (466.4) people / km2, with a concentration rate of (17.8%), (20.1%) and (6.7%) for the years 2021, 2011, 2001 respectively, and this means that almost half of the population of the governorate is concentrated in this district, due to the availability of services, whether health, educational or recreational services, in addition to the presence of most government departments, which made the district enjoy an element of population- Article View: 41
