Abstract

Abstract
The research aims to shed light on the police system in the era of the Delhi Sultans (6.2-817 AH / 1206-1414 AD), the country of Delhi, like many other countries, relied on the police system in maintaining its security and stability, which necessitated the establishment of the police system Supporting the army to help it perform its military tasks and functions and provide security and the resulting economic prosperity in all parts of the country, and the police system represents one of the components of the administrative system in Delhi, although we did not find anything indicating the use of the term police, but the name kotwal appeared, and it is Police chief, This position is similar to that of the military governor of the castle, and he is responsible for maintaining security and preventing disturbances, whether inside the castle or in the surrounding areas, and he is responsible for the castle in the absence of the sultan.
