Abstract

The current research aims to identify the effect of the Autogenic-Training program in regulating emotional arousal and developing the ability to relax among female volleyball players.
. The researchers used the experimental method for its suitability and the nature of the research. The research sample included volleyball players in Qaraqosh Sports Club, and the sample was divided into three groups (two experimental and one control) by random selection according to age groups, using the lottery by (7) advanced players and (7) young players, and (6) players for the control group.
The researchers prepared a Autogenic-Training program, and it was applied to the two research samples, female applicants and young women, and before applying the program, measurements of emotional arousal and ability to relax were taken, and the same tests were repeated after applying the program.
After presenting and discussing the results, the researchers concluded that
1. The Autogenic-Training program had  a positive effect in regulating emotional arousal and developing the ability to relax for the two experimental research groups.
2. The two experimental research groups (young women and advanced ) outperformed the control group in the results of the post-measurement in the emotional arousal variable, while there was no stalistical significant difference  between the two experimental research groups (young women and applicants))
