Abstract

The research aims to identify the impact of the 4H strategy on the geographical survey of fourth-grade literary students in the subject of geography.
To achieve the goal of the research, the researchers set a null hypothesis, and to verify the hypothesis, a sample of fourth-grade literary students at Al-Hikma Preparatory School for Boys in the city of Mosul for the academic year (2019-2020) was intentionally selected. Division (B) is the control group and is taught according to the usual method. The total number of the research sample members reached (52) students, and the research sample was distributed by (27) students for the experimental group and (25) students for the control group, and the process of parity was conducted between the two research groups in the variables that were identified. So.
The research required the preparation of a tool, namely: the geographical survey scale, and its final form consists of (35) paragraphs, and each paragraph has three alternatives, and the validity, reliability and discrimination were verified, and all of them were within the acceptable range.
In light of the results of the research, the researchers made a number of recommendations, including that the Preparation and Training Unit in the Directorate of Education in Nineveh Governorate train geography teachers on how to use the 4H strategy.
To complement the current research, the researchers put forward proposals for future research, including:
The effect of the 4H strategy on the systemic thinking of fourth-grade literary students in geography and developing their cartographic skills.
