Abstract

               Ibn Siddah is considered one of the greatest   Arabic scholars  and its greats, as he compiled books that had a great impact in the field of linguistic studies. The research came in an attempt to study the efforts of Ibn Sidda in clarifying the linguistic issues related to, especially in proverbs, through his dictionary “The Arbiter and the Great Ocean.” His master and his method in arranging his lexiconAs well as the research between the biography of Ibn Sayyida and his method in arranging his lexicon, and it touched on the statement of the semantic relations between words such as participation, contrasts, plurals and others ... as well as the issue of derivation, linguistic control and between  semantics types , such as linguistic and phonetic indications and others, as well as dealing with some phonetic and morphological issues,  Then  the  conclusion in which came the most important findings of the research
