Abstract
The research aims to detect the damage caused to the historical buildings of the old city of Mosul and assess the condition of those buildings according to the indicators of the degree of damage to the buildings Macroseismic scale, which is proposed by the European Geological Center for Earthquakes. The dangers of extinction and removal of its inherited urban fabric due to the demolition operations that are still continuing to raise the ruins of its historical buildings.
