Abstract
The Jews in the AL- Maghreb countries in general and Libya In particular played an immense role in the economic, Political, and administrative life positively or negatively. Jews knew flexible policy of Arab rulers through different eras, a freedom guaranteed by Islamic religion that regarded Jews as thimis. some of them even became within the entourage of Arab rulers .Their well fare lasted in the occupation eras. There were state counselors , jewelers and bankers, some worked in commerce agriculture, industry and other crafts. The Majority of them were hard brokers which gave them economical influence and hording economical activities especially commerce and industry.
The research aims at shedding light on the economical role of Jews in Libya from1911- 1951,on the most difficult and dangerous in Libya. Italian occupation began1911 until 1943. After that Libya gone under the English and French military authority until the year 1951 when Libya got independence.
Due to the economic importance of Jews in Libya and their contact with British and Italian occupation from 1911 until the Second World War. The second talk was about activities during the Second World War. The third focused on economical activities especially commerce and industry under authority of British administration their role in the events of 1945 until 1948 until the independence of Libya .
