Abstract
The research deals with the causal interpretation of names in the book Taj Al-Aar from the Jawaher Al-Qamoos by Muhammad Murtada Al-Zubaidi . The causal interpretation represents a form of interpretation on which the Arabic dictionaries relied. Reasoning by begging for a causal cause. The importance of this study appears in that the causal explanation is an important aspect of the linguistic lesson, and it is a semantic phenomenon and a form of derivation that is the measure of language, as it searches for the origin of names in terms of naming.
The research was based on a preface that deals with the Arabs naming names in terms of the name, then explaining the reasons for the names that came with several considerations, including: according to his work or action, or the effect of his action, his characteristic, his shape and appearance, or his color, or the source of his action indicating one of the types of derivatives, or In the name of the story of his voice.
