Abstract

Research Summary

The research problem was represented in the absence of a measure of self-confidence for students of Physical Education and Sports Sciences, and thus standing on the level of this psychological skill of students.
The study aimed to:
1- Building a measure of self-confidence for first-stage students of the physical education and sports sciences departments in the Faculties of Basic Education.
2- Identifying the level of self-confidence of first-stage students of the physical education and sports sciences departments in the Faculties of Basic Education.
The researcher used the descriptive approach for its suitability and the nature of the research, and the research sample was identified for students of the first stage in the departments of Physical Education and Sports Sciences / Faculties of Basic Education in the universities of Mosul, Diyala and Al-Mustansiriya, whose number is (120) students.
The researchers concluded the following:
1- The effectiveness of the self-confidence scale that the researchers built on the first stage students / Department of Physical Education and Sports Sciences / Faculties of Basic Education / Mosul, Diyala and Al-Mustansiriya Universities.
2- The high level of self-confidence of students of physical education and sports sciences departments / colleges of basic education / universities of Mosul, Diyala Al-Mustansiriya.
3- There are no significant differences in the self-confidence variable between students of the departments of Physical Education and Sports Sciences / Faculties of Basic Education / Universities of Mosul, Diyala and Al-Mustansiriya
