AbstractThe research aims to:
Identify the effect of the training method on learning some basketball skills for intermidiate school girls
The researchers assumed:
That there statistically significant differences between the training method and the method used by the teacher in learning some basketball skills in favor of the training method. The researchers used the experimental method for its suitability and the nature of the research, and the research sample included (50) pupils , and by (25) students for the experimental group that studied according to the training method and (25) students for the control group who studied according to the method followed by the teacher. Equivalence was made between the two research groups in a number of variables of age, height, mass, and some elements of physical fitness and movement .An educational program was developed for a period of three weeks for each skill and by one educational unit per week for the two research groups. The experimental group used the training method and the control group that used the method used by the teacher and the time of each educational unit (40) minutes.
The researchers used the following statistical methods:
Arithmetic mean, standard deviation, T. test for linked and unlinked samples and data were processed using spss software.
In light of the research results, the researchers reached the following conclusions:
The results showed the superiority of the experimental group that used the training method over the control group that used the method used by the school in learning some basketball skills.
As for the recommendations, they were as follows:
1- Emphasis on the use of the training method for its effectiveness in the process of learning chest handling, patting, and front correction with basketball in learning some basketball skills.
2- Using the training method in other subjects.
