Abstract

The study aims to study the trend of the infant mortality rate in the GCC countries and its variation in the six countries period (1990_2015), Many demographic, economic and social factors have affected these rates.
The infant mortality rate in the GCC countries varies between 1990 and 2015, if the rate is limited to the United Arab Emirates (8. 9) per thousand, and the average rate to include three countries (Kuwait, Oman and Qatar) (9.8, 10.8, 10.3) per thousand, while the high rate included two countries, Saudi Arabia and Bahrain (25.7, 12.4) per thousand
