The Effectiveness of a Training Program Based on Blended Learning in Developing the Practical Performance of a Number of Teaching Skills for Physical Education Teachers in the City of Mosul

           The aim of the research is to reveal the effectiveness of the training program based on blended learning in developing the practical performance of a number of teaching skills for physical education teachers in the city of Mosul. The researchers used the experimental method.
           The research community consisted of physical education teachers who graduated from the Department of Physical Education and Sports Sciences at the College of Basic Education at the University of Mosul and whose job service ranges between (10-15) years in the schools of the Nineveh Governorate Center for the academic year (2021-2022), and their number is (89) female teachers. As for the sample of the research, it consisted of (25) female teachers. The researchers relied on the design of a single experimental group with a pre-and post-test, after making sure of the homogeneity among the group members in (age in years, number of years of functional service, and practical performance of teaching skills).
A training program based on blended learning was designed, in addition to the preparation of a performance note card for a number of teaching skills, and after presenting the training program, its general and behavioural objectives and its theoretical content with a model for an electronic and in-person training session, and obtaining official approvals from the Department of Preparation and Training affiliated to the Directorate of Education of Nineveh Governorate. The program was implemented in 7 weeks, with three sessions per week.
Two of the sessions are electronic, followed by an in-person session. The program was started on 30/11/2021 and ended on 11/1/2022. After the program completion, a post-test was conducted for the research sample, and the data was collected and statistically processed using the statistical program (SPSS). The results showed that there are significant differences between the mean scores of the pre and post-tests in the level of practical performance of teaching skills and the interest of the post-test.
Hence, the researchers concluded the following:
- The effectiveness of the training program in developing the practical performance of a number of teaching skills for physical education teachers.
- The effectiveness of blended learning in employing the training program and achieving its objectives.
 
 

The Effect of (SQ3R) Strategy on the achievement on fourth stage literary student in geography

The research aim’s to identify the impact of the (SQ3R) strategy on the
achievement of Fourth grade literary students in geography, the total number of
the sample reached (41); (20) students for the experimental group and (21)
students for the control group. The process of equivalence between the two
groups in some variables, they are:(age in months, the general average of the
student for the third intermediate grade, achievement in geography for the third
intermediate grade, intelligence quotient, Parents' educational level), Theresearcher prepared an achievement test instrument in the subject of the
foundations of geography and its techniques, After applying the achievement test
and the geography literacy scale for the two research groups, data were collected
and statistically analyzed using the (Mann-Whitney) test, and the results was that
there is a statistically significant difference at the level of significance (0,05)
between the mean scores of the achievement test for the experimental and control
groups, And for the benefit of the experimental group students, according to the
results of the research, the researcher concluded the effectiveness of teaching
using the (SQ3R) strategy in middle and high schools in the city of Mosul, and to
complement the current research, the researcher suggests conducting more
studies, such as the effect of the (SQ3R) strategy on the achievement of fifth grade
literary students and the development of their environmental awareness,
conducting a similar study to the current study dealing with the same variables
on other subjects like History or Arabic language.

The impact of the constructive John Zahrek model on the achievement of the third -grade students in mathematics and the development of their side thinking

Abstract:
The aim of the research is to identify (the effect of the John Zahorek model on the achievement of third-grade intermediate students in mathematics and the development of their lateral thinking); The research sample consisted of (63) female students of the third intermediate grade, and they were divided into two groups: an experimental group with (33) students, and a control group with (30) female students after the researcher rewarded them statistically in the variables: (chronological age, intelligence test, lateral thinking test.
The researcher herself taught mathematics to the students of the experimental group according to John Zahorek's constructivist model, and to the students of the control group according to the usual method; The researcher prepared an achievement test that consisted of (40) objective paragraphs of the type of "multiple-choice", and prepared a test of lateral thinking consisting of (16) paragraphs that consist of puzzles, and their validity and reliability were verified; After completing the experiment and applying the two tools to the two groups, the researcher analyzed the results, and the results showed:
There is a statistically significant difference at the significance level (0.05) between the average scores of the experimental group students who studied with John Zahorek's constructivist model and the average scores of the control group students who studied in the usual way in the achievement test in favor of the experimental group.

The effect of the comprehensive learning method according to the VARK model in developing learning motivation and learning a number of types of basketball passing

The current research aims to reveal:
1.The effect of the comprehensive method according to the vark model and the method used in developing learning motivation and learning the skills of shooting from stability and peace in basketball.
2.The effect of the comprehensive method according to the vark model and the method used in learning a number of types of basketball passing
3.The comparison between the two groups, the control and the experimental, in the post-tests in developing learning motivation and learning a number of types of basketball passing.
    The researchers used the experimental method for its relevance to the nature of the research problem, as the research sample consisted of (24) students from the second academic year in the Department of Physical Education and Sports Sciences - College of Basic Education - University of Mosul for the academic year (2020-2021) and they were distributed into two groups (group (control and experimental) and through a random lottery, the educational methods were distributed to the two research groups. Two educational plans have been developed for the two groups, and the program includes (16) educational units, the duration of one unit is (90).
     The researchers used the following statistical methods: (percentage, arithmetic mean, standard deviation, simple correlation coefficient (Pearson), skew coefficient, (T-test) to indicate the differences between the means of the related samples, the (T-test) to indicate the differences between the means of the samples. Unrelated (independent).
The researchers reached the following conclusions:
1.Prove the effectiveness of using the adopted and comprehensive method in developing learning motivation among the current study sample.
2.Both my adopted and comprehensive methods achieved learning a number of types of basketball passing.
 

The Effect of Using Color, Icon, Image Strategy on Science Achievement for Fifth Primary Pupils and the Development of their Visual thinking Skills

             The current research aims at knowing  the effect of color, symbol, and image on the achievement of fifth graders in science and their visual thinking skills.   The experimental design with two equal groups, one experimental and the other control, was used. The size of the research sample was (60) students, with (30) students in the experimental group and (30) students in the control group, and the parity between the two research groups was done in the following variables: The degree of intelligence , the chronological age of the pupils calculated in months, the degree of science in the fourth grade, the educational level of the parents, a test of tribal visual thinking skills, and to achieve the goal of the research, two tools were prepared, the first: an achievement test in the science subject in its final form of (25) paragraphs, and it was characterized by honesty and stability, which amounted to (0.80) using the Couder-Richardson equation (20). As for the second tool, it is a test of visual thinking skills prepared by Abu Laila (2017). The two researchers extracted its validity, excellence, and stability, which amounted to (0.82) using the Couder-Richardson equation (20) and it may be in its final form of (26) paragraphs, and after processing the data statistically using the t-test ( T-Test) for two independent samples The results showed the effectiveness of using the color-symbol-picture strategy in the achievement of science subject by fifth-grade pupils and developing their visual thinking skills.

The Effect of the Integration of the Strategies of the Flipped Classroom and the Hot Chair in the Achievement of Biology Among the Fourth Grade Students and the Development of their Critical Thinking.

The aim of the research is to identify the effect of the integration of the strategies of the mold and the hot chair in the achievement of biology among the fourth grade students and the development of their critical thinking. The researchers used the partial experimental design and the pre and posttest. The researchers chose (b) to represent the experimental group, which is taught according to the integration of the inverted and hot chair, and was chosen (a) as a control group, which is taught in the traditional way. The number of students is 84 students, 40 students in the experimental group and 44 students in the control group. The two groups were rewarded in the variables: age of students, intelligence, measure of thinking and learning achievement of the parents. The researchers prepared the research tool and the test of critical thinking. And straight Instruments used test (T-test) for data processing, the results showed the superiority of the experimental group that studied according to the inverted row hot and chair integration in the collection of living material in the fifth grade science students and the development of critical thinking.Keywords: Integrating Flipped Classroom & Hot Seat, Critical Thinking

The impact of using anchor activities strategy on learning some of basic skills in soccer

ABSTRACT
The research aimed to determine the effect of anchor activities strategy and common strategy in learning some of soccer basic skills and to identify the differences between anchor activities strategy and common strategy of the post-test. The researchers assumed that there is an effect of anchor activities strategy and common strategy in learning some of soccer basic skills and statistically significant differences in the post-test between anchor activities strategy and common strategy. The researcher utilized experimental approach, the population consisted of (144) first year students in physical education institutes in the centre of Erbil city for the academic year (2019-2020). The research samples are randomly selected that are (65) students, and the final research samples consist of (24) students, divided into two groups of (12) students for each group (B) Experimental group using anchor activities strategy. (D) Control group using common strategy. After conducting homogeneity and equivalence, the education program was applied, the main experiment began on 10/31/2019 and ended on 01/23/2020, meaning (12) weeks with (12) educational units for each group, and the time for each unit was (40) minutes, using statistical bag (SPSS). The research resulted in a number of conclusions, The educational program according to anchor activities strategy, has a positive effect on learning some of soccer basic skills, and there was a positive effect of the common strategy only in two skills (dribbling and ball controlling). Superiority of anchor activities strategy in compared to common strategy in acquisition of (short pass, middle pass, ball controlling)
