The aim of the research is to identify (the effect of the John Zahorek model on the achievement of third-grade intermediate students in mathematics and the development of their lateral thinking); The research sample consisted of (63) female students of the third intermediate grade, and they were divided into two groups: an experimental group with (33) students, and a control group with (30) female students after the researcher rewarded them statistically in the variables: (chronological age, intelligence test, lateral thinking test.
The researcher herself taught mathematics to the students of the experimental group according to John Zahorek's constructivist model, and to the students of the control group according to the usual method; The researcher prepared an achievement test that consisted of (40) objective paragraphs of the type of "multiple-choice", and prepared a test of lateral thinking consisting of (16) paragraphs that consist of puzzles, and their validity and reliability were verified; After completing the experiment and applying the two tools to the two groups, the researcher analyzed the results, and the results showed:
There is a statistically significant difference at the significance level (0.05) between the average scores of the experimental group students who studied with John Zahorek's constructivist model and the average scores of the control group students who studied in the usual way in the achievement test in favor of the experimental group.
